Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers of the 5th Street Public Market and provide attention to detail that will ensure a wonderful customer experience. This includes but is not limited to providing directions to customers as they are trying to locate a place of business, and smiling and greeting customers and tenants in passing.

• Maintain clean, safe, inviting, and well-maintained facilities to meet the standards of Obie Companies.

• Abiding by daily checklists and tasks as assigned by supervisors and the Market Manager.

• Completing and turning in required paperwork during each shift.

• Janitorial duties, including, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, bathroom services, cleaning windows, bussing tables, taking out garbage and recycling, cleaning and hosing of walkways, etc.

• Effectively build and maintain relationships with the Market team, Obie Companies team, and tenants of the 5th Street Public Market and adjacent properties.

• Opening and closing the 5th Street Public Market for daily operations.

• Event set-up and take-down as assigned.

• Regular attendance is of primary importance for every position at the Market. You are expected to arrive for work on time and be ready to start work at the beginning of your scheduled shift. You are also expected to complete your shift as scheduled.

• Uniform must be worn.

• Must be safe in all activities. If something is unsafe, immediately report to Supervisor or Market Manager.

• Use proper personal protective equipment.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent
